Super 7 Apron Repair Service

A common problem with the Super 7 apron is that the hand wheel shaft and the rack pinion gear shaft run directly in bored holes in the cast iron apron, the holes eventually wear which leads to the carriage hand wheel feeling loose and poor mating of the gears which drive the carriage causing backlash between actually turning the hand wheel and it engaging with the rack.
This service involves boring out the worn holes to the correct diameter and fitting 4 new bushes which are included in the price - 2 bushes are fitted per hole leaving a oil recess between the fitted bushes.

The modification is very beneficial as it gives the shafts a longer service life than standard and if the new bushes ever need replacing in the future a replacement bush kit is available to purchase from us.

Please note that the return delivery price will be calculated and added to the order total during checkout - you will have to arrange delivery to us.
